ART DECO BIRCH & BURR OAK TALLBOY / CABINET CHEST OF DRAWERS 1930's

A superb Art Deco burr oak and figured birch tallboy, standing on shaped plinth. A very well made piece of furniture, showing superb colour and figuring in the grain. Neered in figured birch to the outside, with contrasting decorative burr oak veneers to the front. The tallboy is in excellent condition for its age, showing some light signs of use. It has been cleaned and waxed.

There is a small knock to the bottom left hand handle to note. The cupboard interior is lined in birch. The cupboard doors and drawers are all in good working order. Please refer to all photographs which can be enlarged.

Sturdy in structure, with no loose joints, the tallboy is free from any damage or woodworm. 75.5cm wide x 108cm high x 46cm deep. The cabinet space is 71cm wide x 42cm deep x 38cm high.

Collection in person is very welcome, collect within 4 weeks as of end of sale. If you collect the item, you may be eligible for a discount on the price. Collection made by mutual agreement between both parties.

We would prefer collection during Monday-Friday. The drivers will be happy to carry the item to a room of your choice on ground or first floor, providing it is safe and accessible. We use a third party furniture courier. Please remember this is an ethical service, and as such it will not increase its carbon footprint in order to reach you earlier.

Deliveries are made between Monday and Friday. All items are insured against damage/breakage whilst in transit.

As with most couriers, the company we use covers different parts of the country on set days as part of well established routes, and while they will try to accommodate any time/day restrictions, a degree of flexibility on the customers part is necessary. We cannot accept responsibility for any damage reported to us after you've signed it, so please do check your item. Please remove any tripping hazards, furniture, ornaments or wall fixtures that will constrict the path.

Please note that the drivers are not allowed to remove their shoes due to health and safety reasons. It is the recipient's responsibility to protect floors and carpets. It is illegal for the courier to stop on a red-route: please liaise with the courier company to make alternative arrangements if needed. If you are moving home or do not require the item for a while, we are more than happy to store it for up to 4 weeks at no extra cost. We will not be held liable for any damage caused by a third party furniture courier.

We will not accept non-furniture couriers such as TNT and DPD due to the risk of furniture being damaged in their care. This item cannot be sent via Parcelforce.
