Attractive Large Vintage Tudor Style Carved Panelled Oak Double Door Wardrobe

A lovely large vintage tudor style oak double wardrobe. We date this wardrobe to the first half of the 20th century. The wardrobe comes as a single piece unit so please be aware regarding access etc. The wardrobe sits on a plain plinth base with a cut out apron at the front.

The wardrobe is fitted with an integral small stepped cornice. The front of the wardrobe is of a two panel design with each panel being a side hinged door. The door fronts have recessed panels. There is a recessed panel to the top of the doors which has an ornate carving around the edge and an arched shaped carving in the centre. The right hand door is also fitted with a lock (key is supplied). The left hand door is secured with back mounted top and bottom lever bolts. The doors have wooden handles.

The interior of the wardrobe is fitted with a side to side split level brass hanging rail. The lower rail has a shelf above.

The wardrobe has a height of 77" (188cm), a width of 50" (127cm) and a depth of 22.5 (57cm). This lovely large vintage tudor style carved oak wardrobe remains in very good solid condition with minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are a few minor scratches, indents and marks to the surfaces from past use. There are a couple of small chips to the top back edge corners. This remains a very stylish and elegant large tudor style carved oak double wardrobe, which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
