Twin pedestal partner desk circa 1860. A very rare and desirable desk, this is a nice mid Victorian example, the Georgian pieces are naturally more desirable but they retail around five times the price of the Victorian pieces. With a desk this age you guarantee its made the right way and to have genuine patina which lets face it is what we want with Chinoiserie furniture.

This desk has been lightly cleaned and thats it, none of the wear marks have been touched up or gone over at all, I believe they should be left exactly as they are. As you can see in the last picture the desk comes in three easy to transport pieces, the pedestals have over sized hand carved dovetail joints as do the drawer linings. Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses SW19-3BE, we can have it delivered nationwide to include Scotland Wales and Ireland.

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
