VINTAGE RETRO WALNUT SIDEBOARD COCKTAIL DRINKS CABINET / CUPBOARD 1950s Art Deco

  

A very elegant & compact sized walnut cocktail cabinet. British made, c1950 by BEAUTILITY furniture & quite a rare model. A well made piece with lovely colour and grain pattern to the wood. Solid wood frame finished in rich walnut veneers.

Internally the retractable drinks preparation shelf runs smoothly. The glass panels are original and decorated with gold stripes. There are two fixed height shelves and two small drawers. These original compact cocktail cabinets are becoming very hard to find now.

This is a much nicer light to mid tone walnut and has been fully cleaned inside and out ready to be enjoyed for many more years. CONDITION overall for its age is good, there are of course the usual age related scratches & marks. There are some areas of wear to veneer on the top. 91 high to top of back bar x 138 wide x 42 deep. The older pieces of furniture are better made, normally by craftsmen and not machines, have more character & if looked after will last many years. I also love much older pieces, if they are unusual, well made & a great design I will offer them for sale. I like to keep pieces as original as possible & will clean & re oil / wax.

I convert some to'Hairpin leg' pieces if they have no legs / ugly legs or missing legs. I do NOT allow customers to arrange their own couier as I cannot accept responsibility for the item in transit.
