This Antique desk is probably from the 1930's era and is in very good overall condition with no obvious marks or repairs over its long life. All drawers run smoothly and the whole desk has a lovely patina built up over years of polishing. It stands on two pedestals fitted with 4 drawers each side - the bottom ones being double depth to take files.
Inside the roll top the bureau section has four smaller drawers and two medium size drawers and some pigeon holes to organise your office. In the centre there is a space under the pigeon holes which will take a key board or Laptop (8" x 17" or 20cm x 43 cm) The desk workspace is a good size (roughly 51" x 17") and will easily accommodate a laptop and your papers. This desk is fitted with'Lebus' lock on the roller shutter but I have no key. Underneath the desk is a wide central drawer and another eight dovetailed drawers with oak frontage and solid oak handles, giving nine very useful drawers in total The dimensions are:- Width 106 cm (41 and 1/2 inches) Depth 69cm (27) and Desk Height 78cm (31") Overall height 100cm (39 and 1/2 inches) Kneehole height is 66cm (26") Worksurface is 40" wide and 15 1/2" deep.
