Habitat Robin Day "Days Forum" 3 Seater Mid Century style leather sofa in dark brown with walnut surround. Habitat Robin Day Forum 3 Seater Mid-Century style sofa finished in dark brown leather with oak surround. Designed by Robin Day in 1964 and originally produced for Hille.

This example of this beautiful sofa was made by Habitat, under the guidance of Tom Dixon. The original Forum was aimed at both commercial and domestic environments, however the price meant it was way outside the budget for most homes. Therefore examples from the original Hille production are very rare and few are known to exist. When they do come up.

In 2000 Habitat reintroduced the Forum, under the guidance of Tom Dixon and with re-engineered materials and processes and in reality, the construction is every bit as good, if not better than the original. The materials used are incredibly high quality. Is in overall good condition, the leather has been very well. The legs are all straight and not buckled as can happen with these sofas. The webbing in still taught and in very good order.
