Large Old Original Budapest Apothecary shop cabinet. A totally unique piece that originally came from Budapest. It has around 44 drawers all of which run smoothly. Original labels have been painted over at some point.
It has had numerous repairs over the years and has been cut down from a much longer piece. The glazed doors have working locks and keys. Overall a stunning old Pharmacy piece of which very few have survived.
Large Budapest Apothecary/Pharmacy/Chemists Shop Display Cabinet Late 1800s. The piece is very solid overall and is comprised of a mixture of Hardwoods and Pine.The drawers are all good and run smoothly, some have been repaired over the years. The glazed doors come with original glass and locks with keys. The original labels are on the handles but have been painted over at some point. The cabinet has plenty of storage. Please note that this bottom section is very heavy and will take a few people to get into place.
The cabinet does have some bumps, knocks and quirks which all add to the old world charm of the piece. The cabinet has been cut down from a much longer piece at some point and has had numerous repairs over the years. This is to be expected with any old shop piece that has been in service until relatively recent times. Please do super size all of the photos.
