Table Lamp Large Vintage Art Deco Style Brass Lamp With Glass Flame Lampshade

  

This is a Vintage and Large Art Deco Antique Style Table lamp with its original Flame Moulded Glass lampshade. A traditional styled lamp based on designs from the 1920s. Despite the Antique design the lamp actually dates from the mid 1980s.

The lamp base is made from heavy gauge hollow pressed, welded and copper riveted brass, it has a round profile with a wide stepped base and a stepped middle section that leads to a reticulated section below the bulb holder. The finish is heat applied aged Antique brass that is irregular across the surface of the brass. The lamp is supplied with its original moulded flame shaped glass lampshade fitted. The shade is white, opaque and slightly pearlised.

The shade is held in place by a three screw brass gallery, the gallery is a new replacement as the original was damaged and beyond use. This lamp was originally used in a restaurant where it was fixed to a bar table top surface.

Condition is good, it is in used condition with just a few small marks and the odd small dent to the brass. The brass has a irregular burnished and semi polished finish which is part of the lamps design.

The shade is good with a few manufacturing marks, small surface marks and small signs of life but nothing major. Please see my images for details. The lamp has a new earthed switched safety BC brass lamp holder, the wiring is new & Earthed and the lamp works well.

Overall Height is 56 Cm - The lamp base is 22.5 Cm in diameter and the shade is 12.5 Cm in Diameter.
