Upcycled reclaimed Wood pallet coffee table with industrial hairpin legs

  

This table is the lovechild of the popular Hendrix style and Evil Eye. Charred wood'Shou-Sugi-Ban' and painted reclaimed pallet coffee table on Hairpin legs. This table in inspired by the legend of'Evil Eye' combined with the colourful aspects of Hendrix and the colouring within the grain is done to highlight it's intrigue.

Re-purposed pallet reassembled, cleaned and hand planed. Wood charred using ancient Japanese techniques in order to protect the wood and bring out the natural grain.

The table was painted and stained between the grain to create a truly unique and characterful piece. The table top and sides have been stained in an old oak wood stain and the evil eye design has been applied in side the table, on the deep shelf. It has a shelf (10cm height) which runs the full width of the table. Finished with 3 coats of linseed oil and 3 coats of beeswax with industrial style hairpin legs.
